4 directors and their spouses met up yesterday and took a trip to the boys orphanage in Higuey, El mundo meijor.

Here the met with the 14 young boys and the caretaker and delivered a large bag of baseball hats, bats, balls and flip flop & crocs for these well disciplined and very well mannered orphans.

While there just like any trip the ladies left with our driver and went shopping ........yes shopping but when they returned they had many bags of groceries as they dug into their own personal funds and purchased 6400$RD of food to stock the cupboards. Now these boys have enough food to last them a month.

Seeing the smiles and glowing eyes when the boys seen this certainly put a lump in my throat and even a tear in my eye, certainly a wonderful feeling. We know not how lucky we are.

Special thanks to Mike Fisher and Bronly de Jesus for arranging this wonderful trip.

Excellent work everyone, to think $200 can feed 15 people for a month, amazing! Some of us spend that on a nite out.

Outstanding !!!! and YES a very special thank you to Tania, Mike & Bronly who put a lot of donations together for this special trip, and thanks to everyone who donated these wonderful items.

The grocery items was a spectacular idea and I'm sure they were greatly appreciated, AWESOME !!!!

A BIG thank you to Mike and his wife - I know you both go out of your way to collect these items for the kids...

Bronly - a BIG thanks also, everyone I know comments how helpful you are to them.

Directors/wives - hey - you guys have such soft hearts and, that is what makes everything work - people helping people!

Very proud of ALL you guys (and gals) and the work you put into helping!! BUT, we all know, when you are doing something you believe in - it isn't work at all.......

Yes - really enjoyed our day at the Orphanage, so sad for those cute small boys who look happy and are well cared for and now have lot’s of food for a while.

All the girls Tania , Heather, Gisele and enjoyed the grocery shopping experience, we managed to learn a few Spanish words while trying to plan some meals for the boys.

Also a big Thank you Mike Fisher for organizing this get together and to Bronly our chauffeur who even chipped in at check out when were some 20 $ short. He would not let us repay him - he wanted to take part and show his appreciation for us all coming to help the children in the Republic Dominican.

Thanks to all - Was a most wonderful day.
