HI congrats on your upcomming wedding.. I ad planned a wedding at this resort and what made me go with anoter one was the fact that Wendy would take days to respond back( if / when she did). I finally decided to call her and i have to tell you she was not enthusiastic at all. It was as if she didnt want my business.. i was set on this resort. i talked my fiance into it after many discussions about the location. And in the end the "response problem" with the wedding coordinator made me go somwere else. I TINK YOU REALLY NEED SOMEONE WO IS RESPONSIVE BECAUSE YOU ARE PLANNING FROM FAR AWAY MAKES IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT. AND TIME IS MOST IMPORTANT BECAUSE YOU HAVE ALLTESE PEOPLE WAITING TO HEAR FROM YOU SO ThEY CAN DO THEIR PLANNING!!! (i have about 50 to 60 guests comming along) and i needed to have someone who respondedback just incase i neededtomake changes. IF YOU NEEDANYTHING LET ME KNOW... MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP.

SORRY I MEANT TO POST TIS ON THE OTHER POST... BUT IT IS GOOD THAT I MADE THIS MISTAKE BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY PROBLEMS JUST KEEP CALLING AND CALLING AND EMAILING AND EMAILING.....................( ALSO SEE OTHER POST ABOUT PPC. SO YOU HAVE ALL THE INFO.)Please do not post in capital letters as this is a form of shouting. Thank you so very much (Stillgotit)

oh my god i apologize if i offended anybody, did not mean to do that. (if i write form work which is usually where i do it from during my breaks its done in capitals beacuse of the system we use) everything is typed in capitals. i certanly did not know it was a way of shouting. once again i apologize. hope no one was offended :) !! thanks for letting me know.!

isis there is absolutely no need to apologize. It happens more then you would ever realize it. It was just intended to let all members, not just you, that capital letters are a form of shouting. It is also a rule that is posted. I in no way meant to offend you in my green post and if I did then I am the one who should apologize 8-)

Hello,

Right now I am actually in the middle of planning my wedding with the Paradisus Punta Cana. I am on my second wedding coordinator and responses are slow, but they respond. Right now the wedding date is set for April 13, 2007 so its coming up soon. I haven't run into too many problems yet other thatn slow response time. One thing that sucks is that they offer a dinner under the stars the night before the wedding for the couple and she just informed me today that it is unavailable and will have to wait till after the wedding. Bummer, but oh well, it will still be romantic. I haven't heard either good or bad about a wedding at this resort so hopefully all goes well. Wish me luck.

I am getting married there as well in May. Responses are slow and details are sometimes sketchy. But not too bad so far as I still have awhile to go.

I had a friend check out the resort while she was in the DR and she gave it the thumbs up. So that made me feel beter.

Let me know if you have any specific questions and I can try to answer

Congrats to both of you.
Can you tell me who your WC is ?? I'm dealing with Jenny.
She's ok, but slow and some of her responses don't answer all my questions - I have to ask them again.

Also, does anyone know when sunset would be in October ???

I started working with Yadilis but then received an e-mail recently from Jenny. I called to confirm Yadilis is still there. Responses seem slower than normal lately.

My fiancee and I have a wedding date set at PPC in May, and we're getting very frustrated with the lack of communication from the coordinator(s). Initially, we dealt with Yadilis who actually did a decent job of getting back to us in a timely manner. Now, it seems that Jenny Fernandez has taken over those duties yet can hardly speak a word of english! When we ask questions via email, she replies with one word answers, or answers that make no sense. We're simply trying to get information on wedding specifics, such as available colors, photography options, ceremony and reception locations, etc. Two months ago, there was an a-la-carte option, but now it seems they started these "romance packages" with no other options available. Pheww....guess I'm ranting here! If anyone can provide us with some info, we'd greatly appreciate it!! We've honestly gotten to the point that we're thinking of flying down in the next couple of weeks just to get things figured out in person.

Would it be difficult to get an ordained minister or preacher to preside over the wedding (in addition to the required judge)?

My fiancee's father is insistent that we have a minister there, and is willing to pay whatever it may cost. How do we go about setting this up?

I don't know about getting an ordained minister there. My FH family is pretty religious so what we are doing is having our marriage blessed by our minister when we come home at our reception.
Just an idea.

I haven't even seen these romance packages. I don't think Jenny knows how to send an attachment. I am super frustrated as well since my wedidng is also in May. Saeris, what is the date of your wedding. We are their on the 25th. We are getting married at home and just having a symbolic ceremony at the resort. Much easier, if you don't mind that is fake - my guests won't know. Can you please send me any 2007 menu info or pictures of cakes, flowers etc. If will send you an e-mail with my address. Thanks!

Rlboston-

I haven't any information regarding any specifics. I wish we did!! Initially, Yadilis sent us a couple of PDF files with info, but from what the new "assistant" Jenny says, everything has changed and none of that stuff applies. Also, while two months ago they offered transportation, they no longer do. Uggh!

The new site is www.romancebyparadisus.com. It's a nice site, but it doesn't show ceremony venue options, reception locations, or any other options outside of their "romance packages". Not sure what else to tell you, but if you'd like to keep in touch via email, my address is saeric@myway.com. Good luck... ???

Since you seem to be getting absolutely no where with your emails might I suggest you either fax her at 1 809 221 7383 or phone her at 1 809 285 8044 It will cost you only a few dollars at the most. 8-)

I was going to call and then I was told by my travel agent that although calling will get some answers, it is better to have it in writing at least on an e-mail so that when we arrive we have proof as to what was agreed to for the wedding. I am going to wait until Yadilis returns and if i do not hear anything I will then call.

I just received this email from Jenny Hernada in which she stated she will be away from any computers and will not be able to answer any emails from Feb. 27th to March 5th . Also she said NO phone calls. If it is really urgent then you can email Yadilis Santana at grupos3.paradisus.punta.cana@solmelia.com

I hope this helps

I had the same problem with them and decided to go to another resort. I think its time someone call the headqaters or a manager. Afterall we are paying for the service it is not like it is for free

It helps to know that Jenny won't be receiving e-mail but I am still not clear who is planning my wedding Jenny or Yadilis.

From the site romancebyparadisus.com, Jenny's title is "assistant". Yidilis Santana is the head wedding coordinator, though it appears she has Jenny deal with the email correspondence. Maybe if she had a clue as to what a poor job Jenny was doing, she'd take over again!

These people better be darn good in person, because it appears we'll have to make every single wedding decision when we get there.

My fiance and I decided on Paradisus Punta Cana for our April 2008 wedding, but due to a lack of wedding reviews, I am leary. We don't have to set anything in stone yet, but please do keep this forum updated as your weddings take place. I am anxious to hear about how things go -- and I wish GOOD LUCK on the planning to everyone!!! I am contemplating a switch to Sunscape the Beach based on so many positive reviews if the Paradisus doesn't step things up with communication.
